    The Exxon Valdez contaminated 1200 miles of coastline as I recall.  You claim this spill is 86 miles long.

    NOt to minimize this at all, because it is a disaster, but it seems nothing like the same unless you think eventually it will corrupt 1200 miles of coastline.

      The valdez was dwarfed by two spill from katrina. One from a offshore platform where it was really heavy crude that sank straight down, but was more voluminous than the Valdez and the second was along the Mississippi River where two Storage tanks floated and ruptured spill significantly more than the Valdez.
