    since it is open source? You think running off of windows would be better? Sorry, but I would never use a proprietary system when an open source one will do.

      ... and you'll see I noted that Joomla was free, as it relates to Joe's cheapass approach to his website. But as I also said, it's a great system that I have used myself.

      So the lesson here? If you read posts more carefully, it might save you from making a similar dumbass comment again.

        Your comment comes across as indicating that anyone using free, open source software is, "Doing it on the cheap."  That's the implication we have a problem with, not the implication that Joe didn't allocate enough resources to his website.

        Many high-priced and capable development firms use Open Source software like, Scoop, Drupal, Joomla, and Plone and are not doing their projects "on the cheap."  They are simply choosing the best code base to work from for their clients.
