"My friends, Joe is not a Republican, he is certainly not a Democrat.  What he is is a member of the 'Cult of Personality' that says 'Our Dear Leader' can do no wrong, ignoring the real world results of his disastrous policies."

I don't know if the scorn and derision quite drips off it the way it does when I hear it in my head, but I like it.

... affected his vision, his balance, and his judgement.  The Dem. Party, certainly, is shifting under his feet (one day I think he will see how much hay  the Rep. Party has harvested many unfortunate souls have died agonizing and unnecessary deaths under the leadership of the Rep. Party while he pursued his strategy of appeasement), but Joe has, in every important way except personality, changed as well.  I don't think he has any idea how hypocritical he now appears.  Hypocrisy, of course, is the realists' way of describing a cult of personality.  And (to the Repubs' credit) there isn't actually a personality behind the facade of personhood they've constructed.

So do you think Joe is actually compromised in some way (his hand is being forced), is willingly compromised (his hand is being forced in a way he wants), or is he -- gasp! -- truly enculted?

Here's my attempt at explaining the current Joementia -- perhaps you saw it.  Seems our Ct. senator has fallen in love -- so late in life.

      Weird times.  Weird weird times.

W taught Pfc Green everything: One planned and enacted the rape of a girl and the murder of her family. The other raped a country. Eerily parallel crimes

You can make up that credit by attending my Tardiness Seminar, already in progress.

I hadn't seen it, but I'm glad that I have now, especially since it's one of those rare Jeffrey Feldman diaries that I actually get (I think).

You have now fulfilled your minimum course requirements for Advanced Procrastination 201 starting in September, more or less.
