Cantwell's likely Republican opponent in Washington endorsed Lieberman and sent him $1000.

Yet another reason to vote for Cantwell :)

"I want to thank Mike McGavick for donating $1,000 to Joe Liebermen, who has been a life-long Democrat and a Democratic Senator of Connecticut for 18 years.

I want to thank Mike McGavick for making such a large donation to the co-founder of the Democratic Leadership Council, who, for 18 years, has voted hundreds of times to oppose right-wing judges like Samuel Alito, to oppose President Bush's Social Security plan, and would certainly vote for Senator Harry Reid for Majority Leader next year.

The appreciation that Mr. McGavick has for such a man is a wonderful thing.  It is a funny thing to do, though, since Senator Lieberman has raised at least 12 million dollars already.  Nevertheless, it's  $1,000 that won't be helping Republicans this year.  Thanks Mike!"
