  •  I am Gillian Fitzgerald (15+ / 0-)

I was born in 1949 in Conn, raised Catholic, educated at Catholic schools (7 different oens before I got out of high school; we moved), and have lived up and down the East Coast from Miami to Miane.  I have a B.A. in English, an M.S. in Communications, and an M.L.S. I've worked as a public school media specialist, a a children's librarian, a refernce librarian, a research asssistant at a lobbying office and for an executive search firm. I've also written and sold short stories in the fantasy and erotica genre (internationally publishes). I currently reside, by economic necessity, in GA, because tuition is cheap and theyhave the Hope Scholarship--my husband is retraining as a nurse.

No military experience --but I was a Navy wife for 15 years, and my husband retuired,m despite promise of one or two pay grades if he stayed in, rather than fight in this idiotic war.

I am a kinky Wiccan feminist who suports human rights (including for women, gays,  minority)and civil liberties, and who thinks privacy, healthcare, job growth and protecting reproductive freedom are as important as ending this war.  I am probably the embodiment of Jerry Falwell's nightmare, since I fit every category except being gay of thsoe he blamed for 9/11.  I am PROUD of that.

The last time we mixed religion and politics people got burned at the stake.

someone pointed out your dkos entry about the RWA nonsense -- that linked to my blog.

Otherwise I would never have figured out why my numbers went from 100 visitors a day to over 500 a day last week.

      hey thanks!

      •  Well, I was pissed (0+ / 0-)

I'm a writer as well as a fan-short stories--and I thought people here would respond to the censorship.
