it's a story - but not one of major importance

the news media is blowing this WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY out of proportion

the question is why - and I don't believe the concept that it's for ratings

    •  Yah, it's for ratings (1+ / 0-)

That's all our useless media cares about these days. They'll always drop everything to cover a story about a dead or missing white girl, because they know that it'll get them eyeballs.

No conspiracy theory is necessary. I feel bad for this family, and hope the media frenzy is a short one this time.

... when's the last time a girl of color (or a boy of any race, and god help the poor) garnered this type of extended attention?  that's right, never.

i don't know what to believe, either.  the guy is apparently asshole number one for being a second grade teacher (at one time), and a possible pedophile.  but i don't know.

what is it about thailand and pedophiles?

I so want this guy they arrested to be guilty, I want that to be his DNA, and my reason is when this happened 10 years ago, the media convicted the Ramsey's without a trial, or seeing any real evidence. I am sick to death of our corporate media being a judge and jury for any act that happens. They call in legal pundits, and the O'reillys who think they know what happened. I want to see the media screwed, and the only way that will happen is if this guy is guilty. In America, you are innocent until proven otherwise, the media needs to learn a lesson.
