    You'll need something with your new address:  Driver's license, utility bill, and a picture ID to be sure about it.  Though you might not have to show all of it, better to be prepared.  Best to contact the Bernalillo County Clerk (or whichever county you're moving to - Albuquerque is Bernalillo).

    I registered 100s of voters here in NM in the runup to 2004 Presidential election, and am on a first-name basis with my county clerk.  So I know how it goes here for sure.  But each county is likely a little different in procedures.  The thirty days thing is for certain, though.  Except that 30 days before election day is a Sunday, so you'd better see how that works where you're going, too.  So count on 32 days to be certain.  That'll be Friday, October 6th.
