Last season I believe Helen Thomas was on the first night and it still was not his best. He is always off kilter on the first few shows. Ever notice though, how the Goopers keep talking and cutting everyone else off and how our friends are polite and bear with it. I think we need to start taking the podium as ours also.

Kos was great and Bill was unsure of how to approach him. Bill is cocky most of the time, but he does show that he can be just as nervous and unsure of himself just like everyone else.

Everyday GW does something stupid. Mission Accomplished.

wants from the Goopers.  Sometimes he seems to be seeking "balance" and other times just a foil that he can make ridiculous at any time.

One constant is that he doesn't like the audience to get on his Gooper guests, which he showed tonight by basically allowing Hitchens to treat them however he pleased.

The problem with all that is he probably doesn't actually get much of a Gooper audience at home, so I'm not sure who he thinks he's playing to.

--that Hitchens was nowhere to be seen, and it wasn't he who had to leave to catch the plane? The camera just showed Cleland and Maher hamming it up together, and Hitchens was either ignored or absent, having probably left the hostile-to-Neocons forum in a big hissyfit.

I think Hitchens did an awesome job of doing the latter on his own, personally...
