  •  I was more impressed by Cleland (6+ / 0-)

for a man who has suffered so much both physically and politically I was tremendously impressed at Max Cleland's sense of humor and his ability to keep a smile on his face. There was nothing feigned about his laughter. He was really enjoying himself and some of Bill Maher spot on humor. I was worried that Bill would be even more one-sided on the Israel Hezbollah conflict but I'm used to him having positions I don't agree with.

As for Markos I think he did pretty well but it wasn't any sort of Oscar-winning performance. He was responsive, articulate, and very effective in presenting his view of the site. But I'm not sure that he changed anybody's mind about anything with this appearance.

I dreaded the appearance of the horrible British drunk Hitchens and he lived up to his usual billing. I can't for the life of me see why Bill has him on, because he has no sense of humor and is in no way entertaining. He is very Bushlike in standing by his lies.

I'm a linguist, licensed to use words any way I want to!
