The Dems MUST make a distinction between big and small business.

We are for the small business person, the woman who owns a daycare, the guy who runs a garage or sandwich shop or bookstore or box company.

We don't mind people getting rich. We like that. But we  DO mind people getting wealthy enough that they can buy our government and control our lives.

We want healthcare because it helps the small business person. We want to help small businesses because they are the backbone of our communities and the country. We support small businesses because we believe in the American Dream of opportunity for all, to own your own business and be free.

It would be difficult to get this message out via the corporate media (witness how even Keith Olbermann never critizes corporations), but it must be done. This is kitchen table stuff. It has to get traction if the Dems keep hitting away at it. Everybody gets that big business has too much power and we're being screwed. People want to hear this message. If we keep hollering, they have to listen.

We are for a free market, not a "free-for-all" market where a few big companies eventually have all the power.

We want good regulation because it helps the small business person. Good regulation is about fairness; it gives opportunity to all, not the few and the mighty.

We love business. But we resist the corporations who are only interested in exploiting people so that a few people can own mansions ship jobs overseas and screw our communities and don't pay their fair share of taxes because they hide their money in Bermuda banks.

Again: The Democrats love business. We love the free market and want opportunity for all, not just a few.

who actually believe in free market capitalisim. You don't have to bribe govt officials to protect your monopoly to be successful. You don't have to bribe your congressman for corporate welfare to make a profit. You don't have to get no bid contracts from the govt to have a thriving business that contributes to the economy.
