is no reason to run from a fight that needs to be fought.

And giving Darby more attention would have exposed his hateful views to more of the people who probably voted for him because his name appeared first on the ballot. Cockroaches always run from the light.

And it would have put pressure on Joe Reed and the ADC to endorse Tyson.

Instead, Darby gets 43.5% of the vote, many of those votes coming from black voters.

And while full-page ads would have cost a pretty penny, I'd wager they also would have raised quite a bit as well.

OK. I'm climbing down from my soapbox now. And I do realize this is all easy for me to say since I'm not a party official and I don't have to deal with Joe Reed.

So I do laud those same party officials for taking a stand against the Grand Dragon Lady, for reinstating Patricia Todd and for the resolution telling Darby he is not welcome in the party.

Non mi placent, O Pincerna. Virent Ova! Viret Perna!

You make good points that I don't really disagree with.  Just trying to make sure you and others know that there was a rationale to the decisions that were made visa v Darby.

And I coulnd't agree more about the outcomes of the SDEC meeting, I think the party rose up and did the right thing even though some forces within the party were pushing a different outcome.

I'm active in AL Dem politics, give me an email at my address in my kos profile sometime.  Maybe our paths will cross sooner or later.
