is a flawed candidate, and the "shoot out" at the "not-so-OK" corral with Westley didn't help, especially since Ahnold is using Westley footage in the general election against Angelides!

Angelides never inspired anyone. He was not the best choice. And Ahnold has money to burn.

NOBODY will remember Westly the time November comes around.  Not a single voter will cast thier vote for Governor GrabAss based on what Steve Westly said.

      Excuse me?
That's not true, but thanks for reinforcing that media frame.

The dity primary is what caused an opening for Arnold to rebuild his tarnished image.
      (and probably lost us CA-50)

but to say that Angelides never inspired anyone is just plain, flat out wrong.

You can say he's never inspired THE MEDIA, that would be true, but i'm damn inspired by his reform proposals among many other things.

I write at GovernorPhil.com, a site helping elect Phil Angelides the next Governor of the great state of California.

The Democratic primary was so negative, and so uninspiring, that momentum was bound to follow the eventual winner into the general election.

I despise the governator, but this is where his acting experience and movie star charisma really help him. I haven't heard a single Democrat say they were excited by or felt good about the primary or its results, so imagine how independents and swing voters who aren't inclined to put a Democrat back in charge feel. The vast majority of voters here in California will just look at this as "the movie star" versus "the guy who ran all those really annoying television ads for two months."

If Angelides loses (and it's looking like he will) maybe the consultants who advise the incredibly disgusting, offensive, and insulting negative campaign tactics will be shipped off to the cornfield where they belong.
