    that corporate profits and compensation are nearly mirror images of each other? It makes sense really but we can use it to our advantage with wingers.

    We can use that fact - who would you rather bear the fruits of a successful company - the people who make it happen or a cold, unfeeling corporation?

    Of course, given that executive compensation is probably a huge percentage of compensation giving them a pay raise doesn't make sense.

    There's an idea for another diary, bonddad - percentage of worker compensation vs executive compensation from the perspective of the company over the years.

    Is that any different than a global comparison? We see figures of what the average worker earns and what executives earn but that doesn't give us a total dollar comparison because of the differential in numbers of each.

    -4.25, -6.87: Someday, after the forest fire of the Right has died we'll say "Whew, I'm happy that's over."
