he attacked corn & he attacked jon stewart & of course he attacked joe wilson

someone got through with an email question about a friend of ambassador wilson stopping novak on the street & novak and asking him a question - I don't remember the details of the encounter, but I beleive that novak responded with some vitriol about the wilson (& it got back to wilson) - today novak said that he learned from that encounter not to talk to strangers who approach him on the street - later in the very same c-span segment he completely contradicted what he said earlier - not about talking to strangers but about how he felt about joe wilson. it was interesting to see the inconsistency - I wish c-span provided transcripts - it would be an interesting read.

would you tell it to a guy you bumped into on the street?

      Geez.

Still, the new spin is that Armitage gamed the WH, on the mini issue of Wilson.

Seriously, Wilson may have outraged the OVP with his his editorial.  But, that's small fry.  Wilson was backed up by our Nigerian ambassador and by Fulford.

But, it's no coincience that the WH, for the first time, admitted error on the uranium from Africa tale, at the same time the Brits gave it up overseas.

I really think the insane reaction to Wilson has less to do with the WH usual paranoid response to criticism , than the source of the documents that prompted Cheney to ask if Iraq was seeking uranium from Niger.

I think the the US and the British caved on the uranium issue because the thing they feared most was exposure of the uber-fake Niger documents.

In my HO, the admin was trying to prevent investigation into the documents that prompted Wilson's trip.

Who knew? Chamonix. But did he tell us? NO!
