together are like the George Dubya of football.

"Really, we're doing fine, we have a great team and we have a lot of confidence in our players.  We've just been the victims of some bad officiating.  We've had some rough spots, but we'll pull through.  Never mind the fact that our star cornerback (Pacman Jones) is in jail more than he's on the field, that we just traded away our only good QB (Billy Volek) leaving behind a veteran who sucks (Kerry Collins) and a backup who's nowhere near NFL ready (VY), that we don't have a secondary or an O-line.  We just need to stay the course and stop worrying about the defeatist attitudes coming from the fans, the bloggers, and the far-left sports journalists."

I became an Oilers fan when Jerry Jones fired Landry.  Used to love the 'boys but never looked back after that.  (Insert comment about Texan's stubborn pride here.)  I lived in Houston during the last years the Oilers were there.  It was tough, but then came Buffalo.  That damn game in '93 or whenever the hell it was when Houston blew that 35-3 lead.  That was the last freakin' straw.  Some guy in Houston actually pulled out a pistol and shot his T.V.  After that, the whole city was thinking "Get the hell out and don't let door hit ya..."

At least you have some chance at rebuilding.  I seriously think the Titans can be a hellava team in a few years.  It might help my fantasy team, too since I took a chance drafting RB LenDale White in a very late round thinking he might get a chance to strut his stuff later in the year on a team in "transition".  Could be my sleeper, baby.

Houston, on the other hand, have the poor, pathetic Texans.  I have the dreadful feeling my Texans will be the '80's Bucaneers for decades to come.  Uggh.

P.S.  I met Warren Moon (HOF) at the Mineapolis airport several years ago.  Class Act!  He had a ride waiting to pick him up, but after making a fool of myself and calling him over, he talked to me and my hubby for at least 5 minutes and made his ride wait for me to fumble through my bags for a pen and paper for him to sign an autograph for me.

I meant to say "Seen that movie before".  But with the DK server reboot my tubes got crossed.
