    ...and the corollary: Even great writers just keep writing the same book.

    Who knows. Maybe someday...

    Especially, look for the one book YOU wish someone would write for you to read, and never has.

    I think that was the magic of Harry Potter.

      The point can be taken farther as well. Many good books come out of reading something and wanting to know the rest of the story, or explore a tangent. For instance, when Marion Zimmer Bradley read T. H. White's The Once and Future King and wondered, "Where are all the women?" The result was Bradley's The Mists of Avalon. (Can you tell I'm teaching Arthur in my fantasy class at the moment?)
