And when it comes to experience, I'd say that going throught 2004 and then following that with a campaign that has been going on since should count for something. He has been out there, talking to the people and getting a first hand look at what is really going on the country. Time spent in D.C. isn't always all that reality based.

    Shut it down. NOW!!!

... he was not born with his money, he had to earn it first.

Some people may not count as "experience" his experience of making quite a lot of money fighting in court against big corporations and their big legal teams ...

... but when it is contrasted with George W's experience in business of successive failures followed by successive bail-outs because of his family connections, an experience of substantial success prior to entering politics ranks up there with me.

George: Torture is for the weak, the scared, and the cruel. Which are you?

of our earstwhile "leaders" (national as well as party) have gotten involved in what they say?  Other than Edwards I am sorely pressed to think of one.  I have not heard mention of the plight in Uganda from many "in power"... and yet, today,  John Edwards is IN Uganda.  That speaks volumes.   We heard talk from our earstwhile "leaders" about the aftermath of Katrina (underscore "talk") yet it was Edwards who put together a network of students, went to New Orleans and actually put his words into action.  I hear our "leaders" speak of education... yet it is Edwards who put up $300,000 out of his own pocket to assure students could continue their education who otherwise would not have had that opportunity.

Say what you will about being "too good looking" or "looks too young" or "dosen't seem to be experienced."  Edwards has proven his capability, not by sitting at a desk in the Senate Chambers, but by the "get down, get dirty, get the job done" kind of leadership that has been lacking in this country for far too long.
