If Crist is gay, then everyone knows.  Hell, he's already said he wouldn't say no to civil unions in the state.  And if he's not, he's won plenty of races with everyone thinking he is.  This is not new in Florida.

The point is, this has NOTHING to do with Foley and his predilection for young boys.  This just conflates the two and confuses the issue - much like the Republicans are doing.

He wouldn't be up 21 if they did.  There's a big difference between suspecting and knowing.  Hell, Foley's sexual orientation killed his abortive Senate run in '04.  I don't see how it would be any different for Crist.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?

In 2004 there was no more specific evidence of Foley's suspected homosexuality then there is now for Crist.  The point is a) in both cases it's old news and overlooked for the most part and b) Foley was forced out to make way for Martinez.  They used the sexual orientation thing against him, but again unless they had specific evidence (which apparently now it appears they may have...) it would not have changed anything.

If they were going to make it an issue for Crist, they would have poured it on against him in the primary, since his opponant ran to his right.  Unless someone comes out with hard evidence or some type fo scandle, this is not going to hurt Crist if it hasn't already.

Then I think his private life is out of bounds.  It would be one thing if he were a gay-bashing primitive, but my understanding is that he supports civil unions.     I think this shouldn't be pursued.
