  •  Were these laws written before internet times (0+ / 0-)

    or after?

Because I assume that online sex offenses are epidemic and are considered often as a play and a joke by the minor (under 18 and IMO clearly no children anymore at the age of 16), so the undermining destruction of the inhibition by the adult offender, might be given gullible and innocently or with considerable consent. If no real-time sexual assault results out of the online attempt, I wonder if the law hits the nail on the head or not.

I mean I have no idea about it, really, for me it's like moon territory, but I just wonder, how this law should work.

I also wonder what it means that MSNBC almost daily broadcasts stories about online sexual predators. One gets the impression that people are completely fixated and addicted to the hunt of online sexual predators, it's a business endeavour. The hunt is as disgusting as the actual assaults.

Wouldn't it be time to understand how technology and media play a part in undermining the social inhibitions to act out sexual phantasies online and think about that first? Think also about how soldiers exchanged sexual explicit situations from the Abu Ghraib prisons like trophies to show off etc. Well, I guess I am going OT here and in territory I clearly feel are very hard for me to understand.

I agree with you on the cover-up part, they are clearly enablers and they decrease the inhibitions of the one who is sexually assaulting.

But I have enough of it. I hope we read some diaries about the Woodward book and more important stuff than continue to dance on the slippery bottom of this slime party.
