    ...the counting," talking about counting votes in the 2004 presidential election?  He sounded as if he was bragging that the fix was in.

    We're all pretty crazy some way or other; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is just a setting on the dryer.

      It was one of a very long list of asinine and/or scary things he has said over the years.  Long Island is changing/has changed.  King is the last significant Republican officeholder from LI.  The island has 4 House seats (there is a fifth that is split between LI and the city: Ackerman's 5th Dist.).  In 1995, the GOP held all 4.  The Dems took one in 1996 (Carolyn McCarthy), one in 2000 (Steve Israel), and one in 2002 (Tim Bishop).  Now, all three Dems are safe and King is all that's left.
