    This is seriously scary reading.

You know this evil is around, but it's not always completely clear just how pervasive it is. Evil, evil stuff.

Thank you for the great job you're doing making the connections and exposing them.

If you are prepping for a book (and you should be!) and need help with editing, backup/verification research, etc., just holler on here - I'm sure there are many of us with the necessary skills who would be willing to help out.

Now that I've been convinced of the necessity of publishing in paper :3, I'll note that the editing and backup & verification will be the things I need most help with (also, general info on soliticing publishers and good publishers to contact once it's in a readable format, LOL).

        more great stuff.

how many more of these diaries do you expect to write?

I suggest that your last diary entry be a summary with a question or questions for discussion somewhere along the lines of: What sort of book do Americans or progressives need on Dominionist Christianity?

Solicit suggestions in other words about how to organize the book.

As a side note, the KKK that Forrest was leader of is not the modern Klan. The modern Klan was founded in 1915, inspired by the original Klan as presented in D W Griffith's film Birth of a Nation, which in turn was based on the novels of Thomas Dixon, particularly The Clansman.

I'm probably going to be writing a few more this week and possibly next, and will probably give a break save for double-posts to DailyKos and Talk to Action for a short bit.  Good point on the suggestions on asking folks "What do you want to see in a book on dominionism", though. :3

So expect about two more weeks of this.

As far as the historical note re the KKK, thanks much on that--that's actually a valid point to note, though I think the SPLC's point was more on the idolisation of Forrest by modern Klansmen and neo-Confederates (which do have ties to the (modern) KKK).
