  •  The issue in Idaho that have been the (9+ / 0-)

mainstay of the campaign is that Congress is not doing its job.  Examples are spending us into oblivion, rampant corruption, and governmental failure, like Katrina relief.  Add to that the war in Iraq, the uncertainty about North Korea and Iran, and a lot of Independents and moderate Republicans are feeling uneasy, if not outright betrayed.

Then there is my opponent.  Not only is he supported by Club for Growth, he has his own agenda, primarily anti-abortion.  He plays heavily on the politics of fear.

Hello from the Deep South.  Amazing how states so far apart can have so much in common.

House Republicans are either knaves or fools, i.e., either corrupt or incompetent.

They want to keep their Party safe and their reserved parking places safe.  They want to keep Big Oil, Pharma, Banking and Credit Card Robber Barons safe (and hyperwealthy).  The country?  The American citizenry?  The Constitution?  Well, when (if) they have time to get 'round to it.

      Have at 'em!

      Thank you!

might think.  I have told people many times that if they want to understand politics in Idaho they have to think of us as a southern state.  Politically, we share much of the same history.  When I grew up here, R's were moderates and Dems were all more conservative, much like the South in those days.  Now we have had the conversion to R's very conservative and Dems, well, less conservative.
