  •  It's really not that rural, though (2+ / 0-)

which is a point Jerry Brady is making in his run for governor: Idaho is in fact now more urban than rural.

Yes, we have great wide open spaces and gorgeous natural beauty. But the Boise metro area is one of the fastest growing in the US with a half million people, and Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls are basically suburbs of Spokane, WA. Our overall population is more than twice that of Montana or Wyoming. We're becoming more Pacific Northwest every day ...

    •  Boise, IF, Poky are stepping into the 21st C (0+ / 0-)

perhaps but the rest of southern ID - not so much, it's definitely rural.

      •  Twin Falls may be a surprise this year (0+ / 0-)

Very few Dems running there, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Jerry Brady take Twin Falls and maybe even Jerome counties after his work beating back the proposed Sempra coal-fired power plant.

I live in Boise now, but I lived in TF for 15 years. The Snake River Canyon is just gorgeous. I miss it every day (though I love Boise).
