  •  Can you identify any particular point ... (0+ / 0-)
... on which Rothenberg's analysis is incorrect?

And what to make of Bowers' failure to distinguish between wanting a tsunami and causing a tsunami?

    •  Ever hear of Mudcat Saunders (0+ / 0-)

      He's advising Jim Webb.

he said you attack on all fronts, that forces the message to be spread
wide, that forces the GOP to defend in depth, that forces you
to engage groups you would abandon.

If the dems had followed rothenberg, put up only 20
candidates in pivot races, they would be in a daschle fight.
Fighting for a few swing voters and dying on a get out the vote
      operation.

What part of the Rotherneberg strategy would have you run Jim Webb,
and if you note, DSCC did very little for him until recently.
If they had given Allen a pass, he'd be running as a Presidential
      #2, now, he's in a death fight.

By stirring up candidates in unlikely districts, it adds to a tsunami.
Would you prefer a wave of 14 seats or a wave of 45?

This means the GOP in 2008 will need to attack 45 freshmen.
