So don't be stingy with those tips!

The rhetoric of the right wing is being fixed around the policy of disinformation.

...for a candidate to withdraw really takes some balls. Here's Baugh's electoral history:

"In 1995, when the Huntington Beach politician realized that he couldn't win an assembly seat on his own, he recruited a decoy candidate to split the Democrat vote. Three years later, when the California Fair Political Practices Commission accused him of concealing a series of illegal cash contributions, Baugh agreed to pay a fine of $47,900."

And this guy is the Orange County Republican Chairman? Criminality is apparently a prerequisite for employment in the Republican party.

          •  KQED - SF (0+ / 0-)

KQED (NPR locally SF) has this blurb. The story was more indepth than this at 6:45 or so last night.

Pacific Time 2006-10-19 : Orange County Congressional Race Gets Ugly
            Listen Listen (RealMedia stream)
The 47th Congressional District, in Orange County, California, has a long-time Democratic incumbent, Loretta Sanchez. Her opponent, Republican Tan Nguyen, is a definite underdog. One factor: Latinos make up 65% of the district's residents. Now Nguyen is in deeper trouble. A notice was mailed to Latino households warning that immigrants could be deported if they vote. The letter was widely interpreted as an attempt to squash the Latino vote and is being investigated by electoral officials. Now Nguyen has admitted that an employee of his campaign was involved in the mailer.

Also - it was the 'teaser' during the nightly shows and one of the lead stories on the Channel 5 / CBS affiliate last night in SF.

    •  I wonder if there is (0+ / 0-)

an even worse scandal connected with Nguyen that the GOP is hoping to bury before the press finds out by rendering him a non-issue.

Though given what the GOP around America is still publically supporting, the mind boggles as to what this could possibly be.

Well, we haven't had any GOP-related incest, necrophilia, or cannibalism stories yet. Or have I missed another front-paged diary about the GOP circus?
