    Hmmm. I think that BushCO has created an environment for corporations that is untenable for us in the long term, and I don't have a great suggestion for fixing it (where are the economists when you need them?).

    But, it seems to me that if we just end all this corporate welfare with the sweep of a pen, corporations will either pass that onto labor (workforce reductions, pay cuts) or they will take hits in the bottom line profit, which will lower the markets, which will lower consumer confidence, which will lower spending, which keeps the recession-indicator cycle going downward.

    How would we wean these corporations off the BushCO welfare that they have gotten so used to, in a manner that doesn't hurt the workforce and consumer confidence?
