    Dear Senator Conyers,

I was born in Detroit, grew up in Livonia and Oak Park, then had the silliness to move to Los Angeles 17 years ago.

Through my life, as I watched political programming, it has always been a source of comfort knowing that you are there, one of the few who truly care about us and stand up for us.  Every time my wife tells me I should run for office, I always ask "You really think I can be as good as John Conyers?" (she tells me I look more like Carl Levin!).

I can't thank you enough for all that you have done and continue to do, not just for the DNC, but for us, the people, who count on our representatives to care about us.

This is a group of talkers who do; and when asked to do a little more, we do that, too.

    C'mon everyone--what's another $20?

Knowledge is knowing why you're doing something; wisdom is knowing why you're not doing something else. Me
