    ... and he has experience with power.

    The problem, after all, is that power is real, and in this country is constrained by laws, and the legislators have just passed a law allowing those in power in kidnap, torture, endungeon, and kill you, without ever telling anyone anything about your disappearance.  You can't stare them down when they have drugged you, plugged you, and shipped you to a former Soviet gulag.

    Bush/Republican legacy: Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, Cheney's Dirty War, Black Sites, AnalPlugs&Bodybags, Rendition, Torture, Waterboards, Murder, the Disappeared.

      then they forfeit ( in constitutional theory if I remember correctly)

      they are in fact outlaws and need to be tried in the hague.

      The point of our government is that the collectively the people not only have the power they can exercise it and it is easy to stare down
      an oppressive regime.

      staring down individually only works if you are staring down another individual. This is happening
      in the workplace, etc because these repubs are all over.
