    we needed to make more people agree with us. Dems didn't convert anyone by staying silent.

    I was suggesting for Kerry's debates to say at least once, politely, that he does not believe what Bush "just" said. If you never give a hint that bullshit is being said, you give a lot of slack to the liar. That was especially important in the he-said-she-said "balancing" media  - since no Dem raised the issue of Bush's credibility, no one in the media bothered either.

      They were as much lies back in 2004 as they are now.

      If you won't call the liar out quickly and vehemently, the media will tend to let the "he-said-she-said" game continue and "let the public decide."

      Also, IMO, calling out and proving W's lying goes a long way toward dispelling the perception of Dems as wimps.  Someone who won't challenge an opponent who is clearly lying looks wimpy.
