  •  Me too.. (8+ / 0-)

There are a few others that thrill me, too because I really enjoy their stuff.. Like mcjoan, SusanG, and Swordsmith, for example.

    •  Hunter sometimes recommends... (7+ / 0-)

...my Pombo diaries.  First time it happened, my jaw dropped.  Don't think he's ever commented, though.  But nobody likes Pombo (well, his mother probably does, but nobody around here).  And I spent so much time studying up that I actually am sort of a Pombo expert.  (How sick is that?)  But I guess people read me for that, and so those low number, high-powered names show up from time to time.

With a little luck, Pombo'll be looking for a new job after next week.  And I'll need a whole new dKos identity, because what's the point of keeping tabs on Pombo if he doesn't have power anymore.  Though even if/when he's defeated, I'm sure he'll try and wreak havoc during the lame duck, and will still need watching.

My favorite Rec of all might be from before I ever knew what they were about - from Plutonium Page, who recommended my very first diary.  (Which was probably read by about 7 other people as well.)

      •  My diaries go down the tubes a lot, too. (5+ / 0-)

Even if I get some prestigious recommends.

I think that it is important that you write your diaries even if your last one didn't get a lot of exposure. They are important nonetheless and are often great resources to go back to when you have one of those "I told you so" moments.

        :)

after Pombo is done I'd love to hear more about New Mexico.

And don't you have a Governor named Bill Richardson who's on everybody's short list?

        •  I dig Richardson.. (2+ / 0-)

I don't know a whole lot about him, but from what I have heard from him, I hope to hear more.

        •  Richardson's on my short list... (3+ / 0-)

...all right!  For the next open Senate seat in New Mexico.  The Presidential run's a silly vanity, IMHO.  Then again, I think Hillary should be setting her cap for Senate Majority Leader.  She'd be pretty good at it, could do it for a good long time, it's sufficiently historic even for an extraordinarily amibtious person, and I don't think her running for President is a good idea either.

I'd like to get back to my specialities (I'm very partial to the Brit version of that word) which involve environmental science, climate change, biodiversity - stuff like that.  There's one on planting fruit trees way on the back burner, too.  And more on Indian country, where I've spent much of my life.  I've have written several NM diaries, BTW.  Dunno if you caught 'em but they're buried in the archives, tucked between the other skeletons and fossils.

Thanks for the compliment.  With the constant fire-hose blast of material flying out all time time, it's hard to know if one is ever noticed much.  So compliments are always nice to get.
