I walked in the door and right up to the poll worker for my precinct. There were only a handful of people there at 7:30 AM (polls opened at 7:00). Four precincts vote at the same middle school, but precinct numbers are printed on voter guides. I'm not sure what they do if you don't know your precinct number.

The book had a copy of my signature from my original registration and I signed right next to it. My name was also marked in a separate log which they use to create voter counts for the media or whoever else asks for them.

The poll worker puts a barcode with your precinct number on a card which you take to another poll worker, who scans the barcode into a machine which puts the correct ballot on your "smart card". You then insert your smart card into the voting machine. The machines were the same as the last few elections - touchscreen with a paper copy for you to review before your vote is recorded to the smart card. When you're done, the machine spits out your card and you take it to poll worker #3 who puts in in the metal ballot box and hands you an "I VOTED" sticker.

There were some offices for which "none of these" was an option, but unfortunately not the case for one judicial post for which neither candidate was qualified. I guess the "none" option is only for certain races.

No issues to report. I'm curious to see how our eminent domain, anti-smoking, minimum wage and marijuana regulation questions fare.
