    If your ballot is stolen (they are all mailed out within a couple of days so you know when it is expected) you can go to the county elections office and get another one. The people who check the signatures are trained in that kind of forensics--any question of of forgery would be quickly resolved.
    What you don't get here is a bunch of poll workers who don't know how the system works. My county has, I think, ten year-round employees, but there is a network of former employees and part-timers that are called on at election time. I was amazed, watching the process on election night, how familiar they all are with the whole system and how well they work together and support the process. Problems of any kind are resolved quickly and courteously to the best of their ability.
