    We need to get it out there. This is not a repudiation of an inept president or a corrupt party, but an inherently unworkable ideology and a party that is wedded to it. The GOP is now beholden to a fanatical authoritarian, imperialist, expansionist conservatism that is going to destory America.

    The democrats are moderate, pragmatic, problem solvers.

      It's not that these conservatives were bad.  It's not that these people did a poor job of implementing conservative schemes.  It's not that -- as every conservative wonk is shouting today -- "these weren't real conservatives."

      It's that conservatism doesn't work.  In fact, it can't work.

      As a strategy to loot the treasury and reward your pals, it's great.  As a means of governing the country, it's hogwash.

      We have to remind them that not just Bush failed, conservatism failed.  And it always will.
