    They've painted themselves into a corner going to bed (seems to be a theme on this thread) with the religious right.  The later have more votes to offer than the libertarians, who will tend to be socially libertarian as well -- I'll keep the cops out of your bedroom, if you keep them out of my account ledger.

    They have a civil war over coming there, and no good options.  Do they go corporate for the money, and tone down the 'moral hypocricy', or ramp that up, and hope that Dobson can find them the cash.

    This is a party that traded constituents for croneys, up and down the ticket.  They still underestimate the angle on that hill they have to climb back up, and as long as they do, I'm a happy camper.

        write and suggest it.  I'd love to see the GOP formally split.  They could even divide up the intials.  One would get the G, one the P, and the O would spend alternate week-ends with each.
