Bush is a lot like Nixon.  A free-marketer in his speech and probably in his heart, but a wannabe socialist in his policies.

Bill Clinton has been the most free market President in the post-war era, which, along my not being a fundamentalist in social policies, is why I am a Democrat.

I think Reagan was the most pro-free market and he did it in an era when markets were more suspect than they are now.  Clinton was easily the most pro-free market of the Democratic Presidents (and leaders), but he did try to socialize the medical industry.  Nevertheless, he deserves major kudos for fighting his own party's anti-market orthodoxy which has made it easier for libertarian and classical liberals to be Democrats since then.
