caught faking data, that's it - you're out of science. No ifs, ands or buts. No second chances. No appeals to sympathy or a hard childhood. Fake data, leave science.  Seems to me that bribery for judges should have an equally strong standard.

Be very kind, for everyone you know is fighting a great battle.

    •  My personal belief is that (0+ / 0-)

corruption by a public official should be punished by the death penalty.

Same with corporate corruption, people like Jeff Skilling and Tom Delay should be executed.

I am sick of this shit.  Public service should be an honor, not a way to line your pockets.

The injection for Alcee? Seems a bit harsh.

        Current House tally: 232 Democrats, 199 Republicans; 3 recounts, 1 GOP/Dem runoff (TX-23)

Sounds like you'd feel quite at home in Uzbekistan.

..Sounds like you, bumblebum, have grown used to the permanent corruption that exists under our current system.  The professional political class protects each other, each others families, each others friends, with plea bargains, pardons, and soft landing private industry jobs.  Oh sure, sometimes they toss someone publicly to the wolves; 'bread and circuses.  But, does anyone really think Mark Foley is going to suffer significantly for his betrayal of trust? Shit, the guy will be popping up on Fox News as a commentator in two years - after Judith Regan publishes his 'confessional'.  And the dems are not much better - witness William 'cold cash' Jefferson.
