I used the quick shorthand from the worksheet re CO2 produced ... rather than focusing on the pounds of carbon. (Doing this too quickly ... draft thoughts immediately into a diary.)  Will change.

And, I agree ... there needs to be accounting for GHG emissions other than carbon, especially in a Global Warming Impact Fee.

First thoughts on Carbon and then ...

I work in sustainable energy, and am facing local initiatives against wood fired boilers, most so broadly written that they amount to an outlawing of any biomass solution. ostensibly this is being done to reduce the incidence rate of asthma, but asthma isn't going to seem so significant if we are all treading (warm) water.

Myself and my wife have a net NEGATIVE carbon footprint, but the options on the survey don't allow for the possibility...

my apologies for being too quick to use that page, which was convenient, rather than checking it closely.

By the way, NEGATIVE ... sure that you've discussed this ... will need to go back through your diaries.

My tons are too high ... which means that I remediate with donations (and strive to lower, at least bit by bit ...).

muscle driven small farm...all heating, hot water, pasteurization is biomass/solar....we have the knowledge and experience (and biomass) to be generating 10-20 tons of carbon neutral fuel and 600 KWH of electricity daily, and more importantly, teaching others how to do the same, but no capital to follow up, so the world will have to wait....
