Hell, why don't we put half of the population, preferably the young, on antipsychotic medication?!  I am sure the pharma industry will come up with a nifty cocktail overnight! At this rate, we can cure at least 1/2 of the 1/3, even if we medicate the other half unnecessarily!

I am sure a pharma executive somewhere is experiencing sexual ecstasy reading this article, that’s if he hasn’t paid for it already.

Seriously though, what happened with looking for root cause of problems?  When did we get so bogged down with symptoms and completely lost sight of root cause analysis? What kind of culture and society is producing such anxious children with feelings of such permeating inadequacy?  Why have we become slaves of our feelings?  Answers to such questions are the ultimate cure.  If we continue to look for answers from the pharma and medical industry, we will get our answers only in forms of pills, some purple, others pink, pills neverthless.

I cannot get over the Resltess Leg Syndrome and its corresponding pill!

So, bipolar patients don't need lithium and schizophrenic patients don't need antipsychotics?  A large part of the "root cause" of these illnesses is...genetic.  Culture and society producing "permeating inadequacy" and "slaves of...feelings" are not responsible for all mental illness.

Spend some time in a psych hospital and you'll figure that out.

Oh, and there are EEG abnormalities in restless leg syndrome.  I'm not a sleep specialist (yet), but there's some pretty good evidence.

Politics is like driving. To go backward, put it in R. To go forward, put it in D.
