  •  Thank you Rep. Miller (10+ / 0-)

I hope you will encourage more of your collegues to write here as well. Granted, not all will recieve a gracious response. We can get pretty worked up over here, but by and large I think the back and forth between Reps and the public, (of which we are a sizeable chunk) is valuable for both.
My position is that investigations should proceed and the facts should be followed as far as they lead.
Surely I felt that the Republicans did harrass Clinton needlessly on many trivial issues, yet given the alternative of no investigation at all, I'd rather err on the side of excess investigation.
The president, regardless of party should be well aware that the decisions (s)he makes will be scrutinized closely.
As for impeachment, it is my view that if the various investigations into the many decisions made by this president go forward, that the American people will be appalled at what has been done in their name without their knowledge. If I am correct, the public outcry for justice will demand impeachment hearings. Democratic calls for it can wait until the public calls first.

    •  I agree fat man (6+ / 0-)

I don't think there is any way to avoid impeachment and in many cases conviction, the issues are so intertwined it is hard to separate them.  Look at the attempts on this diary to identify one thing to investigate which immediately implies a dozen others.

The rocks need not be pried simply push the first and the rest will roll over like a well organized domino display.

(also, I'm really impressed with the level of discussion on this diary.  My finger is tired from rec-ing)

Christ (oops, Crist) is my governor -- God help us.
