history is far different from Evan Bayh's history.

Many of us trust Miller and we are not yet sure about Bayh. Trust is earned. Miller has earned it.

It's ok if someone I like says something... but if someone I dislike says the same thing then it's time to string him up by pinkie toes...

      Is that how it goes?

against fellow Dems to try to be nominated for President.  Miller does not.

Bayh has an Iraq problem that likely will preclude his nomination.  Miller is not running for President.

On the deeper point, I don't believe Miller is trying to run down other Dems or reinforce Republican narratives to advance his career.  The "trust" of which I speak gives Miller the benefit of the doubt.

Bayh does not have that here (or with me, at least).  I'm not saying it's impossible for Bayh to earn trust here, but he may see it as more useful to run against the netroots.  Miller blogs here from time to time.   That builds trust (with me, anyway).

... either admirable or abominable, depending on who said it.

For that matter, I don't trust people who claim Bayh has a show-stopper "Iraq problem" ... or anyone who claims a certain candidate's plan is to win the Party nomination by triangulating against the Party.

I'm not saying it's impossible for you to earn trust here, but you certainly have your work cut out for you.

with you not trusting me.  I was talking about Bayh.  It is hard to get my support if I don't trust a candidate.  Nothing he as done to date engenders my trust.  If you support Bayh, you're going to need to figure out how he deals with the Iraq war and his long support for it.  The American people have rejected that war. Bayh's judgment was wrong on it.
