    ... that the Dems appear to play nicely along.  I've worked my ass off in the retirement home where I'm a volunteer nurse to get the old dears to vote in November, and now they're pissed at the Dems all over again.

    No, it's not a retirement home for the Communist party, I swear. ;)

    The bad feelings started with the Gates confirmation  going without a hitch.  The old folks there remember Iran-Contra all too well, as well as Gates' unsavory financial deals.

      NEXT YEAR, not right after the election.

      And the President is still Bush and will be for quite some time.  Tell them they've got to hang around for a few more years to see this through!

        the way they look at it is that the Dems should at least have mentioned the black spots on Gates' resume. Because: Have we not declared that we now put unprecedented emphasis on ethics?

        Also, it was a good opportunity to further educate the younger ones about the Reagan era and show how a lot of today's troubles stem from unpunished misdeeds in the past.
