  •  Hey, a truck is easy (12+ / 0-)

my kid told Santa he wants an Invisibility Cloak.  I keep saying "um, they're really rare, I think you have to inherit them or something" but he informs me that Santa can make one in his workshop.  Yipes.  I haven't figured it out yet.

Fortunately, (well, not really, but for the purposes of this story) he's off with his dad for Christmas, so I have a little less than a week to come up with one for our delayed Christmas.  Santa, in case you didn't know, makes multiple stops for Christmas whereever the kid is and whatever night he's celebrating -- every night he celebrates Christmas . . . .

    •  How old is he? (0+ / 0-)

If he's under seven, give him any cloak and tell him that's what it is. So why doesn't it work? Well, it will - when your son is 14. Santa wouldn't ever give a child under 12 a working cloak, however, because it would be too dangerous if his parents couldn't find him. Wasn't Harry 14 before he got his?

If he's over 14, google the news on
"invisibility cloak" and tell him that the Pentagon has taken the invisibility technology away from Santa and classified the design. (It's true! They took Santa to Gitmo and waterboarded him for it.)
