    a gloating scold, or liberally annointing your speech with a divine sanction.  

    I think you may be reacting to my comment on the deficit, and maybe that could be worded more positively, but I am sincerely worried that she's promised more than she can deliver there.  Perhaps, instead:

    After years of historic deficits, this new Congress will commit itself to fiscal responsiblity and bringing the budget under control.

      her lede with bipartisanship.  I think it was the right thing to say and do.  You know what?  I think most of this country is liberal and I think most of this country will come to really love her and this party over the next two years.  She is just making sure that 40-50% of the population keeps listening for now.  She can kick the Republicans in the shins in private and she knows it and she WILL.
