'liberal'? LOL.  those idiots at fox.  but seriously, if kieth olbermann's show is what's pulling msnbc's numbers up....  then it would stand to reason that pushing back is the thing to be doing.

    •  It's a matter of money but I'll take it (0+ / 0-)

If GE is following the Jack Welch model, which is basically social darwinism for the sales division, anyone not pulling their weight as far as bringing in the bucks is given a short amount of time to get their act together or get out.  If it turns out that Dan Abrams read the zeitgeist right and proposed that money could be made by caputing the reality based community, that proposal will get support while the money is to be made.  When it no longer works to bring in the bucks, they will switch to something else.  Right now, MSNBC is on the rising side of the money curve.  They will stay there for a while but when it starts to plateau in a couple of years, start to worry.

olbermann is front and center right now because of his popularity, and i noticed commercials for chris matthews and scarlboro saying they ask the tough questions and all that bs.  i assumed they were trying to capitalize on the success of countdowwn.  i have no misunderstandings about the reason why that is and that as soon as the tide turns....  so to will the direction of msnbc.
