Here in Chicago, Papa Bear George Halas (of whom it was said he tossed nickels like they were manhole covers) left his team to his two children, son George Jr. and daughter Virginia McCaskey.  The son died fairly young, having had only two children while his sister bore children like a rabbit.  The McCaskeys, with the help of some rather sneaky legal manuvers, forced George Jr.'s children to sell their share ofthe team to them (at what is now an obscenely low price).

The nicest thing I can say about the McCaskeys is that if you lived next door to them, you are probably safe from a terrorist attack (for terrorists wish to inflict terror, not win the title Chicago Sportsman of the Year by wiping out the McCaskey clan).
