    the fallen if they were listed on a government website as government funded photos, but we all know that is not going to happen as long as Bush is in charge.

      ... puts this text with each photo they host taken by a government employee, I found that out when I was looking for a photo to use for the Katrina "Bathtub" poster that was free (I listed the photographer with the image of course, a Coast Guardsman, bless him).

      I'll use the text from another Katrina photo as an example:

      This image is a work of an employee of the Executive Office of the President of the United States, taken or made during the course of the person's official duties. As a work of the U.S. federal government, the image is in the public domain.

      I realize it is the real-world concern that BushCo could tie up Kos with stupid litigation, even if it is legal to use these products of our tax dollars, but still... your comment reminded me of this.
