  •  Obama's Charm Person Mass has a DC of 23! (8+ / 0-)

Well... the save DC to avoid being affected by Obama's Charm Person Mass (spell-like ability) is 10 plus spell level plus charisma modifier.

I'd say he has a 20 charisma (base of 18, no bonus for being human, and assuming he is an 8th to 11th level character who put both of his stat increases in charisma).  So that's a +5 modifier to charisma.

Charm Person Mass (called Charm Monster Mass in the PHB because it affects both persons and monsters) is an 8th level spell for a sorceror...

    So we've got 10 (base) + 5 (charisma) + 8 (spell level) and have a save DC of 23!

That's a pretty hefty saving through... it'd mean you'd need an average of +13 between your base save and wisdom modifier in order to avoid his charm person spell like ability 50% of the time.

"No bonus for being human..."  How do we know that's he's not a half-elf?  Those prominent ears of his?  Hmmm...?  (I think we can rule out any Drow ancestry. Although, there was at least one prominent good Drow...)

What character class and alignment could we assign Mr. Obama?  I'm guessing Neutral Good.  He's got a church involvment background, so maybe some kind of cleric?  New character class: Politican?  That would be a fun one to draw up?  Any other D&D aficionados want to take a crack at it?

I am ashamed to admit that I understood all of that. Part of trying to share a hobby with my teenage son. ;)
