    For whatever small things anyone might have admired about 'communist' societies, they have absolutely nothing to do with Marx. The three major communist governments in history - Russia, China and Cuba - were agrarian societies that used authoritarian control to [successfully or unsuccessfully] move their economies into the industrial age.

    Marx is very clear on not only 'communism' but the specific typeof communism in which economic ages are 'bypassed'. For him, these are abhorrent anomalies.

    Look, there are many problems with Marx, but the governments that have claimed him don't remotely reflect him.
