Turn your radio dial to any republican talk radio show and you will clearly here the anger, the hate, and the vile stereotypes pouring out like rancid vomit. Ilegal immigrants are working, paying taxes, and are not able to collect the  services the rest of America clearly enjoy, like welfare, food stamps, etc.  They will not be able to collect the taxes they pay into Social security.  And amnesty is not what the new immigration reforms are advocating, but the likes of Lou Dobbs is.  Tancredo, in his infinite wisdom states " remove all the bastards and send them were they came from.
When you think you have heard it all, he will next suggest that they start a railway system and herd the 12 million immigrants  in box cars, back to Mexico.  And if that doesn't work, what is next? The final solution?  Most of the hispanics in prison are citizens by the way, most illegal immigrants criminals are usually deported.  No, the real tragic disaster to this country in the last several years has been a Right Wing machine that thrives on fear, hate, corruption, and stupidity and they will find scapegoats to fufill their sick , paranoid insecurity.  By the way, the size of the Hispanic Americans voters is huge and growing and runs into the millions. Bush would not have won the last race had it not been for the 40% of hispanics voting for him.   Assholes like Tancredo, are the ones to marginalize with due haste.  If Hillary is a suckup to large corporations, you can goddamn guarantee that your candidate is as well.  It is political suicide to bite the hand that feeds you, you simply select the least offensive financial backers.

    •  I don't agree at all on the prison matter or much (0+ / 0-)

...of what you have just shared.

...you simply select the least offensive financial backers.

Which amounts to no choice at all but then there hasn’t been for some time now, and that too has to change.

I don't hear the anger just from right wing hate radio but rank and file Democrats I live around and talk with often, IMO you, my friend, are isolalated or seem to want to be on this matter.

I guess you will have to find out which way majority opinion is running the hard way...so be it.

It not a matter of racism but a matter of lawbreakers who have no legal right to be here as they have illegally entered. Enforce the damned laws on immigration which are just as far as I can see. I don't believe in rewarding law breakers even if I feel sorry for them and neither should you.

      •  The polls taken after the November election... (0+ / 0-)

At the top of the list was corruption and the Iraq war.  The people spoke, and placed Immigration at the bottom or near the bottom of the list.  If you feel your own job is threatened, I suggest you go to school and change careers.  Most people change careers at least five times in their lifetimes.  There is nothing more empowering than American Ingenuity.  Mexicans are here to stay, unless drastic measures are taken, like recent accounts of massive arrests taking place, that should appease the xenophobes amongst us.

        •  I'm retired and not worried about a job. (0+ / 0-)

You know it is possible to care about other people other than ones self...or maybe you don't.

I worry about our own young people and their future and scab supporting guys like you with baseless superior attitudes who don't understand who built this country and apparently what to make a buck off someone else’s sweat and  pay them as little as possible in the process and while posing as some sort of superior humanitarian...most of us aren’t fooled by that schlock. You are going to find out the American people, who you apparently don’t really know or care to know, are not going to stand seeing this country being given over to a 5% minority so they can exploit the rest of us. We the citizens, in majority, not going to stand seeing it given away to a pack of hustlers who never raised a sweat in their smarmy bean counting life.

The Mexicans are not hear to stay and they don't want to be they don't want citizenship they just want to work here and send/take the money home.  Taking care of ones own and not exploiting third world labor or turning this land into a banana republic is not Xenophobic; so take that sort of name calling name calling and set on it or be prepared to accept a lot of it back in kind. Also any fool knows merging Mexico’s and our economy will greatly lower our standard of living except for the exploiters at the top who will gain in excess.

Just what part of illegal (as in immigrant) do you not understand?

Enforce the law and make the Mexicans follow the same rules/laws Africans and Europeans have to and yes ship them home in mass if necessary.

Lord Neo-Liberal Globalist are ideological louts, looking for an advantage out of playing other against one another.

I don't remember voting on any such hierarchy on any ballots; what is more that is in my opinion patently false and  an appeal to numbers( a type of card stacking) that don’t exist...give....it ....up!
