    that they have spent 40 years cultivating (hell, raising like mushrooms in the basement of a dairy may be more like it and I will never hold an important public job because of that intemperate statement) the dittohorde (herd? whored?) that they unleash at a single word.  The dittoheads immediately jam the phone lines and fill up the in boxes of emails to CEOs of major sponsors, government leaders, editors, etc.  While their screeds may at times appear to be less than grammatical or logical or even sensical, the sheer mass and volume of the outcry draws attention.
    We have seen Hannity and Malkin give out individual's personal information and encourage their listeners to do less than honorable things to those people who have displeased the talking heads.

    The question is if progressives can mount similar campaigns without becoming dittoheads ourselves?
